Trend: The Neckerchief

The spring sunshine of last week was just teasing us and the weather has cooled once again, but don’t think covering your shirt in endless cashmere is the only option for warming up stylishly.

Often accessories trends seem out of touch with practical daily outfit choices but the neckerchief provides a transitional season piece promising maximum style with minimal effort.

The silks on offer this season from the likes of Givenchy, Gucci and Dolce, not to mention the ceaseless options from Hermes, are deliciously decorative and the options endless. We love them through our belt loops or tied in our hair when not sat in the neck of our shirts.

Cottons, however, are our favourites. Found in vintage stores or on the high street they are an affordable and fabulously easy way to style up your shirt.

Whatever the material, tie to one side leaving the ends casually floating or wrap tight to the neck for a look that evokes the choker and conjures up images of biker jackets and the warmer spring weather to come.
